Kay McNamara
Kay  holds a Diploma of Teaching  from Queensland University of Technology (QUT)  and a Master of Arts-Applied Linguistics from Griffith University. After 8 years as a primary classroom teacher, Kay commenced ESL teaching in 1990 and has since worked in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary contexts both in Australia and overseas. From 1995-1998 Kay taught EFL in China before returning to Brisbane to take up the position of ESL teacher at Kelvin Grove State College where she now works with students from years 1-12. Her current interests include whole school approaches to planning for the literacy needs of ESL students.
 

Esther Watt
Esther holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Diploma of Education from The University of New England, along with a Master of Arts-Applied Linguistics from Griffith University. She began secondary teaching in 1981 and since 1995 has taught ESL at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels both in Australia and overseas. As coordinator of the Language Centre at The Armidale School in NSW she is currently developing programs which support students both academically and socially.
