Congratulations to all students involved in today’s Middle and Senior School Leadership Induction Ceremony. Our leaders took great pride in receiving their badges and giving their oath of office in front of peers, teachers, parents and special guests. Our student leaders are fine young people, worthy of the offices and positions of respect and responsibility they hold.
College Executive Principal Joel Buchholz encouraged all of our students to be leaders. “You are all leaders in our college - a community of approximately 3700 young people. This does not in any way diminish the offices held by the students we are formally inducting today. We should acknowledge that leadership is not and should not be the domain of an elite few. Leadership can and, indeed, must be shared with all.”
Special mention and congratulations also go 2023 graduate Sandave W who was awarded College Dux of 2023 and to Leonard C who was awarded Middle School Dux. Sandave received an ATAR of 99.90 which is an outstanding achievement.
Special thanks to Stephen Bates Member for Brisbane, Jonty Bush Member for Cooper, and Councillor Clare Jenkinson Paddington Ward for been part of our Induction Leadership Ceremony.
We look forward to the students developing their leadership skills and delivering some great initiatives this year.
